Huston-Tillotson University (HT) President Melva Wallace was recently named Most Innovative Leader of 2024 by the National College Resources Foundation (NCRF) and the Black College Expo.
“This prestigious award recognizes President Wallace’s exceptional contributions to higher education and her unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and excellence,” said Dr; Theresa Price, founder and president of the NCRF and the Black College Expo.
“Her visionary leadership and significant impact in the field of education earned her top votes for this honor. Under her guidance, Huston-Tillotson University has launched numerous groundbreaking programs and initiatives that have set new standards and raised the bar for academic excellence and student success at other historically Black colleges and universities,” Price added.
“I am deeply humbled and honored to be recognized by the Black College Expo. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Huston-Tillotson University community. Our commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and academic excellence drives us to continuously seek new ways to support and empower our students.” Wallace said, while accepting the award during a special ceremony held in San Diego, CA.
