ADDRESSING A SYSTEMIC PROBLEM

African American students have 2X the average college debt of their white counterparts.

Investing in Education

With crushing, unfair levels of student debt, African American students are playing catch-up from the day they start their careers. Through our income-contingent funding option and our support services for students and their schools, the Student Freedom Initiative takes an innovative and holistic approach that reimagines how students pay for college.

Changing the Path

Rising tuition costs, high-cost loans, and historical barriers to entry all limit opportunities for African American students.

Brightening the Future

We can’t change rising tuition costs, but we can address the financial stress of college in other ways and provide students with both resources and community. The Student Freedom Initiative is purposefully built to redress historic economic and social inequities and to offer a sustainable, scalable platform to invest in future African American leaders.
